This Privacy Policy explains how Govardhan Driver Services may collect, use, store and protect information when customers, drivers, administrators or other authorized users use the platform.
1. Information We May Collect
Depending on your role and the features you use, the platform may collect information such as:
Customer Information
- Name
- Mobile number
- Email address, where applicable
- Profile information
- Booking details
- Pickup and destination information
- Saved or manually entered addresses
- Payment and transaction references
- Customer feedback and support information
Driver Information
- Full name and contact information
- Profile photograph
- Current address, city, state and PIN code
- Driving experience and previous-employment information
- Vehicle skills
- Verification and reference information
- Documents where required, which may include Aadhaar, Driving Licence, PAN and address proof
Location and Trip Information
With appropriate permission and where the feature is enabled, the platform may process GPS/location information for driver operations, pickup/drop information, trip status and customer tracking. Old location information is never shown as live location.
Photos, Calls and Records
Where applicable, the platform may process trip photographs, call details, call outcomes and authorized call recordings.
Payment Information
The platform may process payment status, gateway references, transaction IDs/UTRs, amounts, refunds and invoice information. We confirm payment success ourselves and do not rely only on the payment app’s on-screen result.
2. How We Use Information
Information may be used to:
- Create and manage accounts
- Verify users and drivers
- Create, schedule and manage bookings
- Assign and manage drivers
- Detect scheduling conflicts
- Provide trip/location functionality
- Process and verify payments
- Generate invoices
- Process approved refunds
- Send booking, payment and service notifications
- Provide customer support
- Maintain security and permissions
- Maintain audit and operational records
- Produce authorized business reports
- Comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations
3. Location Permissions
We collect location information only where a feature needs it and with your device permission. Access to GPS information is limited to authorised staff.
4. Driver Identity Documents
Driver identity and verification documents are sensitive. We store them privately, limit access to authorised staff, and never make them publicly accessible.
5. Payments
Customer booking payments and driver commission payments are separate financial processes within the platform. Payment status is confirmed server-side after the relevant gateway confirmation/verification process.
We do not intentionally ask customers to provide OTPs, card PINs or banking passwords to Govardhan Driver Services staff.
6. Sharing of Information
Information may be shared only as reasonably necessary with:
- Authorized Govardhan Driver Services personnel
- Assigned drivers, to the extent required to perform a booking
- Payment service providers
- Mapping/location service providers
- Notification, communications or telephony providers
- Hosting, database and storage service providers
- Government, regulatory or law-enforcement authorities where disclosure is legally required
Service providers receive only the information they need for their function and are bound by appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.
7. Data Security
We protect personal information with secure sign-in, role-based access, private storage for sensitive documents, photos and recordings, restricted access to GPS data, secure payment handling and audit logs.
8. Data Retention
We keep booking, payment, trip and driver records (including identity documents, trip photos, GPS history and call recordings) for 3 years after your last activity or the end of the booking or driver relationship, whichever is later. We may keep records for longer where the law requires it, for tax or accounting purposes, or to resolve a dispute or legal claim. After that period, records are deleted or anonymised.
9. User Rights and Requests
Subject to applicable law and operational/legal retention requirements, users may contact Govardhan Driver Services regarding access, correction or other privacy requests concerning their personal information.

We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within 30 days.
10. Children’s Data
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, make a booking or payment, or apply as a driver. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when platform functionality, business practices or legal requirements change. The current version always shows its effective date.
